Every person wants beautifully radiant skin, but not every one of us is naturally blessed with a clear complexion. However... what you lack naturally, you can achieve through different cosmetic procedures. One of these procedures is Microdermabrasion.
Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive non-surgical, mechanical exfoliation treatment specifically designed for superficial skin resurfacing which improves the texture of the skin and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is a treatment based on the principles of wound healing which increases the production of more consistently structured collagen and elastin in the skin. Wounding and removing the uppermost layers of the skin (stratum corneum) in a controlled manner stimulates the skin to regenerate a healthier epidermis and dermis resulting in brighter and smoother skin texture.
This type of procedure is commonly used to treat photo-damaged skin and reliably demonstrates improvement in skin texture, coarse pores, comedonal acne (black heads), and epidermal hyperpigmentation such as solar lentigines. Treatments may improve fine lines and superficial acne scarring as well as prevent new lines and wrinkles from forming.
There are two distinct systems used to perform microdermabrasion: crystal and diamond. Crystal microdermabrasion involves sanding of the skin by the way of blasting of aluminum oxide crystals onto the surface of the skin while dimond microdermabrasion uses diamond tipped wands that remove the dead skin cells when the tip comes in contact with the skin. Both machines have a vacuum attached to the wand to suction away the excess crystals and/or dead skin debris. While both methods are equally effective.
Microdermabrasion has many positive attributes, it has a low complication rates, rapid and predictable results, low discomfort, no anesthesia required, high safety and little to no downtime post procedure. At Alternative Laser Health we offer basic and enhanced treatments. The basic microdermabrasion takes about 30 minutes and consists of diamond skin exfoliation followed by an organic mask, toner, facial massage, hydrating gel mask andorganic moisturizer application.
Microdermabrasion can be performed as a stand-alone procedure, however it works best when performed as a series of treatments - typically a series of 6 to 10 ever 10 to 28 days apart. Many people choose to do microdermabrasion sessions on a monthly basis to maintain healthy skin texture. Noticeable changes can be seen after the first treatment - usually smoother, healthier looking skin. After a series of treatments skin oiliness is decreased, dilated pores are less pronounced, and skin texture is noticeably improved. At Alternative Laser Health we have made a conscious decision to offer microdermabrasion at very competitive price of $60 so that everybodycan enjoy its benefits on a regular basis. We also offer microdermabrasion on larger areas like backs to reduce acne scars and imperfections that may have built up over the years.
